Go Bergenfield District Alliance (GBDA)  would like to congratulate Rony’s Rockin’ Grill for their 5-year anniversary. Rony’s is a community staple in Bergenfield and has been ever since they opened their doors. They will be hosting an event at their location at 83 N Washington Avenue, Bergenfield, to celebrate on Saturday, July 13th beginning at 4pm.

The 5-year anniversary event will start off with local talent, DJ Matt Roxx, who will be followed by Anabel Holiday at 5:30pm. The night continues on with The Bunks at 7pm, and a rockin’ closing by The Route 4s at 8pm for the rest of the night.

Mayor Norman Schmelz explains, “Rony’s Rockin’ Grill has been a great addition to our food community since its start here in Bergenfield. Rony’s is one of many food establishments in our town that attract people from in and out of our area for a great place to go and relax. If you like nice air conditioning, or a spot out front to people-watch, Rony’s has got you covered. It’s with great honor and pleasure that I congratulate the Alvarado’s on their five years in Bergenfield.”

Rony’s Rockin’ Grill has been awarded “Best Burger in Bergen County” and “Best Fries in Bergen County” 4 years in a row by multiple sources such as 201 Magazine, and DVlicious The Daily Voice. This year, the Bergen Record has announced Rony’s as the “Best Burger in the State”. To honor the win, regular and cheese sliders accompanied with fries will be available for a $5 purchase at the party.

Owner and Chef Rony Alvarado says, “I am so appreciative of what this restaurant has become here in Bergen County. I believe the food speaks for itself, and Bergenfield agrees with me that we not only have the best burgers in county, but also in the state!”

Rony’s Rockin’ Grill first opened in Glen Rock in 2010. Alvarado then moved Rony’s to Bergenfield and has made a home here ever since. The family-owned and operated restaurant has a rock-based theme throughout their business. From the albums you see posted on the wall, the rock music you hear in the background, to the menu you read when choosing your dish, the atmosphere screams “rock ‘n’ roll”.

Alvarado states, “I’m proud to say all of our burgers are creative, extraordinary and freshly made, as well as our sauces.” This includes Rony’s own creation, “Rock Sauce.” He goes on to say, “No detail is too small or overlooked, and we make sure you leave full and with a smile on your face.”

Alvarado, along with his wife, Denise, and their children, Daisy and Steven, are excited to open their doors and commemorate their achievements with the community. Be sure to stop by for some fun entertainment and great food.
