Bergenfield Welcomes Bello Florist and Home Decor
New Flower Boutique Hosts Ribbon Cutting
BERGENFIELD, NJ – On Saturday, October 28, Bello Florist and Home Decor of Bergenfield officially cut the ribbon
for their business located at 84 South Washington Avenue. Owner, Yanira Bello, chose Bergenfield to start her new
boutique for several reasons including: its developing business district, close proximity to her home in Teaneck, and
its diverse demographic to name a few.
“I chose Bergenfield because I knew that the community was very diverse and not only had a strong presence of
Latinos but also a large Filipino population and I believe that both those groups have a passion for plants and
nature,” said Bello. “I knew that if I worked hard, I could earn their business.”
Bello has had a love of flowers and plants since a child growing up on her family’s farm. Having always dreamt of
opening her own flower shop, she saw the opportunity present itself when her children grew up. One thing in
particular sets Bello Florist and Home Decor apart from other florists, and that is instead of solely focusing on
holidays and event floral arrangements, Bello keeps a variety of fresh flowers and indoor and outdoor plants
available at all times. She also offers customers home decor items and home decorating services.
Bello was joined by her daughter, Yaely and son, Reyneil, for the ribbon cutting along with members of the public.
Mayor Schmelz, Council President Amatorio, Councilman Rivera, Councilman Marte, Bergen County Freeholder
Vice-Chairman Sullivan, Freeholder Amoroso, Freeholder Ortiz, Chairwoman Silna Zur and Chair Pro Tempore Dr.
Voss all attended the event.
Bello Florist and Home Decor is open Sundays from 9:30AM – 5:30PM and Monday through Saturday from 10AM –
7:30PM with extended hours to 9PM on Thursday and Friday.
